INCOSE Academic Equivalency recognized for the University of Alabama in Huntsville

SAN DIEGO (14 June 2021) – The International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) proudly announces the Academic Equivalency award for the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH). The University of Alabama in Huntsville is closely associated with NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center and their ISE 327 and ISE 328 course help students to prove their knowledge of systems engineering. INCOSE awarded this equivalency in August 2020.

With this equivalency in place, students who demonstrate systems engineering knowledge through approved coursework will not have to take the INCOSE Knowledge Exam to certify. This knowledge demonstration is key in achieving both ASEP and CSEP certifications making this equivalency a great benefit to the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Kerry Lunney, INCOSE President stated “It is great to have this collaboration between University of Alabama and INCOSE. Academic equivalency recognizes knowledge of the INCOSE systems engineering handbook as assessed during university coursework. Both new engineers and those with more experience benefit from knowing the standard definitions and processes in the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook, and Academic Equivalency can be used toward both ASEP and CSEP certification requirements.”
