Organizations Also Announce Renewal of Joint Certification

As the demand for complex high technology systems increases,  the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) has signed an agreement with Systems Engineering Society of Australia (SESA) and Engineers Australia (EA) to continue SESA’s relationship as the INCOSE Chapter within Australia for the next three years. SESA is also a technical society of Engineers Australia, providing expert opinion on systems engineering and helping influence professional practice in a changing world market.

“As the complexity of systems and systems engineering grows, so does our need for skilled professionals who understand the importance of developing a structured, but adaptable systems approach,” said INCOSE President Garry Roedler, ESEP. “SESA works to establish and maintain world class systems engineering practices, providing a forum for discussion and improvement, as well as a network to share Australian and international systems engineering information and trends. We are pleased to sustain a strong and productive relationship.”

In addition, INCOSE and EA have signed a renewed agreement for their “Chartered Australian Systems Engineers” (CASE), a dual path for certification. The CASE certification helps systems engineers build and/or strengthen their skills to further their professional growth and knowledge.

“Systems engineering is critical to the successful delivery of complex projects, including IT and telecommunications, air traffic control, intelligent transport, and defence,” said INCOSE President-elect Kerry Lunney, ESEP, of Thales Australia. “Systems engineering’s growth, as supported by these SESA agreements, is fundamental to the Australian economy and helps us remain internationally competitive.”
