Prepare for Certification with an Online Tutorial

Interested in receiving your INCOSE Systems Engineering (SE) certification and becoming an INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or an Associate SEP (ASEP)? The INCOSE Hampton Roads Area (HRA) Chapter and Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) are hosting a tutorial webinar to help you learn SE and prepare for the certification exam. The tutorial is taught by John O. Clark, Chief Engineer at the NGC Information Systems Sector and Director of Education & Training for the HRA Chapter. The tutorial covers the certification process and the SE Handbook version 3.2 (the new basis for the certificationexam beginning May/June 2010). It also provides tips on filling out your application. A certificate of completion is provided.
 
Beginning Thursday, May 6th and running through October 2010, the tutorial consists of 16 weekly sessions, held from noon to 1:30 p.m., Eastern Time USA, for up to 300 INCOSE and 250 NGC participants. There is no need to register and no cost, just join in. The LiveMeeting sessions will be open 30 minutes before the start time. Prior to each session, participants are encouraged to read the sections and appendices of the SE Handbook to be presented. Course materials include the course schedule, tutorial slides (including PowerPoint Notes), sample questions, and prior-session audio and video recordings for later downloading if you miss a class.
 
  • INCOSE Corporate Advisory Board (CAB) member organization current employees, including NGC current employees. As a current employee of a CAB organization, including NGC employees, you can access the course at no cost by using your CAB organization’s INCOSE Connect username and password to access the Connect tutorial site, information, and course materials at https://connect.incose.org/tut/sehandbook/default.aspx. To obtain the INCOSE Connect username and password of your CAB organization, contact your organization’s INCOSE CAB member representative listed at http://www.incose.org/about/organization/cab.cfm. If your CAB representative does not know their organization’s CAB username and password, have them contact Connect Support at [email protected]. CAB member employees have full access to all INCOSE products, including this course, even if they personally are not INCOSE members
 
  • All other INCOSE members. You can access the course at no cost by using your personal INCOSE Connect username and password to access the Connect tutorial site and course materials at https://connect.incose.org/tut/sehandbook/default.aspx.
  • If you do not know your personal Connect password, reset your password here.
 
  • The INCOSE Live Meeting audio capacity has been enabled for up to 300 global callers. The INCOSE Toll telecon numbers are available atthe above Connect tutorial site, and the new participant passcode is 7336579353. INCOSE Live Meeting use of Computer Audio is highly recommended. The NGC Live Meeting telecon number and passcode remain unchanged.
 
Please note you must either be a CAB member organization current employee, a NGC current employee, or an INCOSE member to participate in this tutorial.If LiveMeeting isn’t accessible, then download the slides from the Connect tutorial site and follow along the telecon using the slide numbers.
