INCOSE Chapter Excellence in 2004

Apr 5, 2005, 00:00 AM by INCOSE UMS
At the 2005 International Symposium, INCOSE will recognize 27 chapters for meeting and exceeding INCOSE’s standards for local service and contributions.

The United Kingdom Chapter will receive the President’s Award for Outstanding Chapter.  The United Kingdom Chapter has continued their strong and balanced efforts across all evaluation areas in promoting both System Engineering and INCOSE as a whole. The chapter has established an Advisory Board consisting of employers, tool vendors, and universities who contribute monetary support to the chapter. This allows the chapter to host events with lower fees and sponsor students to the INCOSE International Symposium.

The North Texas Chapter will receive the Director's Award for Most Improved Chapter. The North Texas Chapter has consistently improved in all evaluation areas, increased its membership steadily, had a high percentage of chapter members involved in INCOSE and chapter activities, thus increasing its Circle Awards from Bronze through Silver to Gold this year.

This year’s Gold Circle Award winning chapters were Australia, Chesapeake, Gesellschaft für Systems Engineering, Hampton Roads, Los Angeles, Netherlands, North Texas, Southern Maryland, and of course, United Kingdom. Silver Circle Award winning chapters were Crossroads, Finger Lakes, Heartland, NORSEC, Orlando, San Diego, Silver State, South Africa, Space Coast, Taiwan, Tri-Cities, and Washington Metropolitan Area. The Bronze Circle Award winning chapters were, Central Savannah River, FINSE, Huntsville Regional, Midwest Gateway, North Star, and Swedish.

It is important to note that all six regions of INCOSE were represented among the award winners. Congratulations to all 28 chapters that submitted awards packets.
