ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288:2015, Systems and software engineering—System life cycle processes, the Systems Engineering standard covering processes and life cycle stages and establishing a common framework for users, has recently passed balloting and is nearing publication.  This is the standard upon which INCOSE aligns the process and life cycle content in the SE Handbook.  The SE Handbook Fourth Edition will be released shortly after final publication of 15288. INCOSE congratulates Garry Roedler, ESEP, Project Editor of the standard, Bill Bearden, CSEP, Co-editor, and the entire team producing this important update.
