INCOSE, a global membership organization dedicated to disseminating the principles of Systems Engineering, is now hiring a Deputy Program Manager for its Certification Program. This multi‐level Professional Certification Program provides a formal method for recognizing the knowledge and experience of systems engineers. The program is managed by staff with oversight from a volunteer Certification Advisory Group (CAG). Candidate must be a Systems Engineering Professional (SEP), certified through the INCOSE program. Staff reports to the INCOSE President‐elect.
The successful candidate will be responsible for these aspects of the Program:
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
· Develop Certification Program procedures (in conjunction with CAG)
· Develop and provide instructional training to new Certification Application Reviewers (CARs)
· Monitor the overall status of the Certification Program, including statistics on application volume, exam scheduling, CAR’s performance, application success rate, process suitability and required improvements
· Provide monthly status reports by the fifteenth of the following month to the President Elect, CAG and the INCOSE President Elect
· Prepare a Professional Certification Office annual budget for submission to the INCOSE Treasurer by August 15th each year for review and approval
· Ensure satisfactory interfaces and services to all clients of the Certification Program
· Support Board of Director (BOD) meetings as directed by the INCOSE President‐elect
PROGRAM EVOLUTION
· Recommend Certification Program policy revisions, as needed, to the INCOSE President‐elect
· Every two years, conduct a comprehensive review and draft recommended changes to the INCOSE Operational Plan for Systems Engineering Professional Certification Program (OPS PLAN) for CAG review and final configuration control adjudication
· Communicate program changes and developments with potential applicants, interested organizations and current certified professionals
· Support the INCOSE BOD and CAG leadership on the Certification Program strategic issues and initiatives
· Coordinate certification exam revision activities with all relevant stakeholders, as required
· Recommend the optimum balance of tasks between PM and INCOSE Admin office (UMS), which provides administrative management and support to Certification Program
PROGRAM MARKETING
· Develop and implement new Certification Program offerings to support internationalization and expand the professional development scope of the Certification Program
· Oversee efforts to publicize and market the INCOSE Certification Program. Develop a marketing plan for delivery and approval commensurate with the annual budget cycle
· Recommend the optimal organizational structure most effectively to market the program world‐wide
