Mar 16, 2010, 00:00 AM by INCOSE UMS
INCOSE is pleased to introduce the ESEP certification. ESEP is targeted towards senior Systems Engineers who have significant Systems Engineering experience, demonstrated systems accomplishments, and are recognized leaders within their organizations. The ESEP program was piloted last fall and approved by the INCOSE Board of Directors in December 2009. The 17 successful ESEP pilot participants were recognized at the INCOSE International Workshop in Mesa.

Some highlights of the INCOSE ESEP program include:
  • You must be (or become) an INCOSE member to become an ESEP
  • You must have at least 25 years of SE experience (20 if you are already an INCOSE CSEP)
  • At least the last 10 years of your SE experience must be confirmed by your references
  • You must have a technical Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent (Note: additional years of engineering experience can be substituted for the lack of a technical degree)
  • You must also provide evidence of Professional Development leadership as part of your application
  • There is no exam for ESEP, however, applicants and references need to participate in an oral review
  • There are no renewal requirements, however, ESEPs need to maintain their INCOSE membership
