Abstract: Many of our customers are requiring a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) implementation for their project lifecycle execution. The Model is an integral part of our systems engineering process and architectural solutions; thus it is key to review the model with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts and our customers. Model design peer reviews are a valuable way to review the baseline design, assess required life cycle maturity, identify gaps in the system engineering process and seek customer input, which would allow for the team to stay on track for customer validation.

Speaker: Michael Brenner is a senior systems engineer with nearly 30 years of experience in aerospace at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), which Caltech manages for NASA. Mr. Brenner brings deep aerospace industry systems engineering and model-based system engineering (MBSE) experience from his work, where he supports space imaging systems in the Astronomy and Astrophysics division. Currently, he is the product delivery manager for an advanced mirror development and imaging system. Mr. Brenner's experience spans system engineering, electronics design, optical system design, integration and test, flight software development, product delivery management, and project management. Mr. Brenner has held many Systems Engineering and Product Delivery Management roles that have allowed him the opportunities to gain practical experience in systems engineering and MBSE implementation and process execution.
