Abstract:
Paul White and Paul Nelson attended this year's INCOSE International Workshop from January 25-29 in Torrance, California. They will share their notes from this event. Topics covered will include:
- Latest systems engineering initiatives
- INCOSE working groups
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Western States Regional Conference (WSRC)
They will focus on how these efforts will impact systems engineering in our area and how we can take advantage of these trends.
Professional Biography:
Paul White
Paul White is a Senior Systems Engineer at Kihomac in Layton. He works with BAE as an Assistant Project Technical Manager on the ICBM Minuteman III and GBSD platforms. He has nineteen years of experience in the aerospace industry.
Paul has been an INCOSE member since 2007 serving in various top leadership roles in the North Texas (Dallas - Fort Worth) Chapter, Chicagoland Chapter, and Wasatch (Utah) Chapter. He is the current president of the Wasatch Chapter. Paul has been a leader in the annual Great Lakes Regional Conference (GLRC) since 2012 including conference chair for the 6th and 8th conferences. He served as the conference chair for the first annual Western States Regional Conference (WSRC) in Ogden in 2018; and he serves on the WSRC Steering Committee for 2019 and beyond.
He has a graduate certificate in Systems Engineering and Architecting from the Stevens Institute of Technology, a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University-Commerce, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University. He is a Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) through INCOSE.
Paul Nelson
Paul Nelson leads technical strategy for Integrated Digital Product Development and Services (IDPDS) as chief technical strategist at Northrop Grumman. He is promoting the proper processes and tools to significantly reduce development time and costs while meeting all customer requirements. Paul has BS and MS degrees in mechanical engineering. He is INCOSE CSEP certified, holds a graduate certificate in Systems Engineering, and is CM2-Professional certified.
Paul Nelson serves as the chapter secretary and on the Western States Regional Conference 2019 Committee.
