Welcome to the SOuthern ARizona (SOARizona) INCOSE chapter website. The chapter is centered in Tucson, Arizona. Anyone whose interests intersect with the profession of Systems Engineering is welcome to participate. This includes those in the profession of Project Management for engineering content as described on the wiki for the Guide to the Systems Engineering Body of Knowledge (SEBoK). Get involved with the chapter through chapter meetings, speaker series, working groups, conferences, the U of A, and support to pre-college development of interest in Systems Engineering. SOARizona is also actively engaged with mentoring in the College of Engineering at the University of Arizona.
The SOARizona Chapter is a not-for-profit membership organization founded to develop and disseminate the interdisciplinary principles and practices that enable the realization of successful systems.
To share, promote and advance the best of systems engineering from across the globe for the benefit of humanity and the planet.

Each year, chapters perform work to support the chapter membership and INCOSE in general. This body of work can be submitted for consideration for recognition by INCOSE in the form of Circle Awards, presented each year at the International Symposium. For 2016, SOAR achieved the Sivler Circle Award.
Now, for 2017, SOAR has just submitted its package for the Circle Awards, with enough work to again achieve Silver, assuming the review goes well. Chapter members can see and review the package at this location.
For 2018, we would like to move toward Gold, which means supporting conferences and workshops, as well as reaching out to the community to provide system engineering services and mentorship. Please do your part to help the chapter grow in its support of its members, the local community, and the INCOSE organization.
