Meeting Description:
Kirk Michaelson and Dr. Don Gelosh highlight the objectives, scope and value of the Professional Development Portal (PDP), a new service for INCOSE members. Starting as a Corporate Advisory Board (CAB) priority, the PDP was created to provide value to new engineers, experienced systems engineers, contributors, and corporate officials. With coordination across INCOSE, the PDP was built to provide an ability for users to conduct a competency self-assessment, browse and search the content catalog, save learning resources to a bookshelf, develop a learning plan, and report completed professional development to managers.
For ease of discovering learning resources, the content was classified using a taxonomy of INCOSE products and definitions, i.e., The INCOSE Systems Engineering Competency Framework, the Systems Engineering Professional experience areas, systems engineering domains used for International Symposia Call for Papers, and ISO 15288 system engineering processes used in the SE Handbook. The PDP is a comprehensive solution to enhance systems engineering knowledge and skills and your resource center for professional development. The Q&A session shall follow the presentation.
