The Von Neumann computer architecture is changing and it will cause a change in software architecture.  The changes in memory and cores per processor die are driving the changes.

Speaker Biography

Francis Thompson is Sensor Exploitation Systems Chief of Technology and Sr. System Engineer at NGC.  Francis developed functional architecture and led the longest and largest Enterprise Sensor Laboratory program award in its 12-year history.  Francis delivered 11 space systems for Electro-Optical/Infrared/Radio Frequency space vehicles, ground stations, payloads and launches.  Francis’ experience includes 16 years leading and building space vehicles, four years leading System Engineering for Payload Sensors, and 12 years leading Ground Systems.

Francis was on a team of three people who started the Los Angeles INCOSE Chapter.  He is our distinguished Past President of the Colorado Front Range Chapter (2012), and has been Corporate Advisory Board (CAB) member for Hughes, TRW, and NGC.

The event is open to all INCOSE Colorado FRC members, their invited colleagues, and to interested non-members.
