Abstract:
INCOSE established its Professional Certification Program to provide a formal method for recognizing the knowledge and experience of Systems Engineering professionals. This webinar will provide an update on the INCOSE certification program and an introduction to its Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) designation. David Walden, CSEP-Acq, INCOSE Certification Program Manager, will give a brief update on the INCOSE certification program. He will highlight some of the recent certification changes as well as some of the positive indicators related to the on-going growth and recognition of the program. Eileen Arnold, ESEPAcq,
member and the immediate past Chair of the Certification Advisory Group (CAG), will provide an overview of the ESEP designation. The ESEP was introduced earlier this year and is targeted towards senior-level systems engineering leaders. She will describe the requirements for ESEP and go over the ESEP application process.
 
Biographies:
David Walden is the INCOSE Certification Program Manager. As the Certification Program Manager, Dave works directly with INCOSE’s Certification Advisory Group (CAG) and Board
of Directors (BoD) to promote and execute the certification program throughout the world. Dave is a principal consultant with Sysnovation, LLC, a Systems Engineering consulting and education firm based out of the Twin Cities in Minnesota, USA. Dave has an M.S. in Management of Technology (MOT) from the University of Minnesota, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis, and a B.S. in Electrical
Engineering from Valparaiso University in Indiana.
 
Eileen Arnold is currently employed as a systems engineer in program management competency support at BAE Systems in Fridley, Minnesota, USA. She has over 29 years of experience in the engineering and management of HW, SW, and Systems; including product architecture and development, integration, modeling and simulation, and systems life cycle process for both the commercial and defense sectors. She is well-rounded, holding a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.A. and M.A in Geography. She is recognized by the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) with its highest level of systems engineering certification; Expert Systems Engineering Professional with an Acquisition extension (ESEP-Acq). She is an active INCOSE member, holding leadership positions at the international and local levels since 1996.
