The 7th National Space SE & Risk Management Symposium

This seventh national symposium will bring together systems engineering and risk-management professionals involved in the acquisition and operation of space systems. Leaders and practitioners from defense, government, industry and academia will share knowledge and information about best practices, lessons learned, new acquisition policies, industry initiatives, and new and alternative methods and tools to mitigate the risks inherent in space system development and operation.

This seventh national symposium will bring together systems engineering and risk-management professionals involved in the acquisition and operation of space systems. Leaders and practitioners from defense, government, industry and academia will share knowledge and information about best practices, lessons learned, new acquisition policies, industry initiatives, and new and alternative methods and tools to mitigate the risks inherent in space system development and operation. The symposium will include nationally recognized speakers, tutorials, juried technical papers, workshops, and poster and networking sessions.
Tutorials: A full day of tutorials will focus on risk management. Tutorials will be 4 hours long with parallel sessions of different topics offered in the morning and afternoon (topics will include risk-informed decision making for acquisition design; risk techniques for program management and design; basic risk management planning and assessment; software reliability for quantitative assessment; the systems engineering-risk management relationship).
