About This Chapter

Chapter Background

The Los Angeles, California chapter of INCOSE endeavors to fulfill the goals of INCOSE for our chapter membership. INCOSE-LA currently has a membership of about 475 Systems Engineers from industry, government, and academia, mostly from the greater Southern California area. The board of directors continually seeks to offer a complete program of professional and social events to its members and the systems engineering community.

The INCOSE-LA Chapter generally holds the following events:
- A speaker meeting on the second Tuesday of each month
- A tutorial/workshop each quarter
- An annual Mini-Conference
As a benefit of membership, INCOSE members receive discounts at chapter meetings and events. Our calendar also includes social events such as community service projects, networking events, holiday parties and informal gatherings.

For most speaker meeting events, our speaker is present at a "Host Site" (often in the El Segundo area), and we also offer the option of attending virtually via Zoom, or at one of our "Remote Site" locations: Pasadena (JPL), Santa Barbara (Control Point), Huntington Beach (Boeing) and Antelope Valley. These meetings provide a great opportunity to hear about interesting systems engineering topics and to network with other systems engineering professionals.

Chapter Website and Newsletter

At our chapter website you will find information on upcoming and past activities. We encourage you to bookmark the site and to visit it periodically to stay abreast of ongoing activities. We also publish newsletters throughout the year, which is emailed to you as another benefit of your membership in INCOSE-LA. This newsletter seeks to inform you on chapter activities and topics of interest. The latest newsletter can be found on our homepage.

Email Mailing List

Our chapter distributes periodic emails informing members and other interested parties of upcoming INCOSE-LA events. Members are not automatically included in this distribution list. If you wish to be included in this email distribution list, please send an email to [email protected] and ask to be added to our INCOSE-LA Chapter Email Reflector. You will get 3-4 messages a month about interesting System Engineering meetings and activities in our area.
