Abstract: Dr. Gelosh, INCOSE Assistant Director for the Americas / Northeast, has started a new Systems Engineering and Leadership Institute at WPI that is focused on the critical integration and advancement of systems engineering processes and professional skills. He will present an overview of how successful systems engineers rely on leadership and other professional skills to do their jobs and will review the new institute.
About the Presenter: Dr. Don Gelosh leads the development of WPI’s Corporate and Professional Graduate Education Programs related to Systems Engineering. Formerly, he has held positions including Deputy Director, Workforce Development, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Dean, Learning and Technology, National Defense University, Electrical and Computer Engr. Deputy Department Head, US Air Force Institute of Technology, Electrical and Computer Engr. Faculty, US Air Force Academy, and the Space Shuttle Vehicle Integration and Test Team. Dr. Gelosh has a BSEE from The Ohio State University, an MS - Computer System Design from the University of Houston – Clear Lake, and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He is an International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Certified SE Professional – Acquisition and a Defense Acquisition Corps Systems Engineering Level III.
