Abstract:
The INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook, Fifth Edition, was released in 2023. Come and learn more about the updates made to the Handbook by attending the INCOSE Chicagoland Chapter's 2024 Spring Tutorial, "Understanding the INCOSE SE Handbook Fifth Edition". This tutorial will be taught by the Editor-In-Chief, Mr. David Walden on Saturday April 20, 2024 from 8 AM to 4 PM CDT. Attendance will be offered in a hybrid format.
Biography
David D. Walden, ESEP, is co-owner, principal consultant, and lead instructor for Sysnovation based out of Valparaiso, Indiana. Previously, he was with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems for 13 years and McDonnell Aircraft Company for 10 years. Dave was the Editor-in-Chief of the INCOSE SE Handbook Fifth Edition. He has an M.S. in Management of Technology (MOT) from the University of Minnesota, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Valparaiso University in Indiana. Dave was one of the first to earn the INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) credential in 2004 and was awarded the INCOSE Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) credential in 2011. He was awarded the INCOSE Founders Award in 2022. He is also an IEEE Senior Member.
