INCOSE Charleston Lowcountry Chapter Meeting - August 2016
North Charleston
1141 Remount Road
Join us for our Monthly Membership Meeting on 18 August 2016 at 5:30PM.
Advancing SE in SC
The Charter for Charleston Lowcountry Chapter of INCOSE is to foster the definition, understanding, and practice of world class
systems engineering in industry, academia, and government.
Over the past year, the chapter board of directors have established several goals and objectives that define focus areas and activities that support this Charter. The phrase "Advancing SE in SC" opined by Kevin Crafton (Chapter Treasurer) has become our motto in these discussions.
In this Chapter meeting, the Board of Directors wishes to receive your input and ideas on the execution of these goals and objectives. Topics of discussion will Include:
Board of Director - Leadership Areas
The Goals and Objectives of each Leadership Area
Outreach: What outreach functions support our mission and motto?
Meetings: What topics, formats, presentations will help you practice Systems Engineering?
STEM: As the Charleston Area community of SE professionals, what should we be doing to foster interest in SE. We are all aware of STEM efforts that start in elementary school to encourage children to aspire to a career in STEM. What is our role? What is the target audience? How do we help the academic community?
Please join us at this important meeting where we begin to chart the course for your Low Country INCOSE Chapter.
POC for this event is John Lillard if you wish to make suggestions for the agenda.
We will meet at ManTech International Corp, 1141 Remount Road, North Charleston.
$5.00 Members/$15 Non-Members.
Please RSVP no later than 16 August so refreshments can be planned accordingly.
