At last, the late major snow is all melted and gone, April showers have begun - it’s time to take life less seriously and just enjoy a great evening out with good friends and associates. To make that happen, the North Star Chapter has planned another special evening of multiple events on Saturday, 15 June as follows:
5:00 PM: All report to the Wings of the North Air Museum at the Flying Cloud Airport in Eden Prairie. You may not know of it’s existence but the museum has been there for several years and contains some very interesting aircraft, including a full replica of Lindberg’s Spirit of St Louis. We have arranged a private tour with detailed explanations on all the aircraft and other items of interest on display. The museum is at 10100 Flying Cloud Drive in Eden Prairie. If you come out I495, Just head south on Flying Cloud about 3.5 miles and you will see a big sign on a building to your right. Come up the drive, park and join us. Please try to be there at a bit before five so we can all start together. North Star will cover the $10 entry fee.
6:15 PM: The tour will complete and we all jump in our cars to drive back up Flying Cloud Drive for dinner together at the Wildfire Restaurant. That’s straight back up Flying Cloud to 8251, adjacent to the old site of Sears on the right. We have a very nice private room reserved that will hold 40 - so sign up early to be sure of a spot! See the notes below for the menu choices available with your ticket.
Available Menu at Wildfire: Wildfire charges a flat rate for groups but do have a menu with several choices for gatherings. As in the past, North Star will pay for appetizers and desserts so your final price will be $39 per person. The menu follows just for your info but you don’t have to make a final choice in advance - the waiting staff will take your order at the event. We do ask that you pay when you sign up so there won’t be a flurry of bills at the end of the evening.
