Abstract: Have you ever been part of an engineering development team, where your leadership, or you and your teammates have come to the conclusion that you need to be more agile? You have read about, watched or been part of other teams that have adopted some kind of agile practice, and you find yourself compelled to do the same. Regardless of where you are in your pursuit of the call to agile, you are encouraged to stop for a moment and see if you have reasonable answers to the following questions:
- How agile do we need to be, and where do we need to be more agile?
- How capable are we able to adequately respond to unpredictable dynamics, either external or internal to your organization?
- What actions have we taken, or should we take to address the shortcomings covered in answering questions 1 and 2?
- Are communicating clearly to each other within the team or teams? What is our working definition of agility that each member of the team is working to?

If you find your answers less than satisfying, then you will find the Agile Decision Guidance (ADG) Methodology can provide a useful approach to crystalize your answers and provide insights to create innovative ways to improve your agility.
