Join us with Brian Larson at the upcoming event on SysML v2 ! The Systems Modeling Language (SysML) for Object Management Group (OMG) has become nearly synonymous with model-based systems engineering (MBSE). However, using SysML has revealed many limitations and challenges. In response, OMG is developing an entirely new Systems Modeling Language Version 2 (SysML v2) which is approaching finalization in early 2025. Major engineering design software vendors (ANSYS, MathWorks, Dassault Systèmes, etc.) are planning the migration of proprietary systems engineering platforms to a new world of interoperability based on SysML v2. The presentation will describe the limitations of SysML (v1), how they are overcome/mitigated by SysML v2, and preview visions of MBSE sing SysML v2.
