Have you ever considered solar cells on your roof to provide home power? Well, there is another way to go solar that avoids all the concerns about maintenance, non-sunny days and winter. Companies like Sunshare have built solar fields around the country and feed the resultant power into the main power grid where you can take advantage of it, generally at lower cost than the local power company.
Come to the INCOSE North Star meeting on 14 August and learn how Sunshare develops farmland and other private property into solar fields equipped with modern solar cells and control equipment, then integrates the output of energy into the local power grid and makes it available to the public. It’s a complex but most successful systems process. Our speaker will be Jeremy Black, an engineer with Sunshare, who is intimately acquainted with the entire operation. He will be speaking from Sunshare via ZOOM.
