As an INCOSE Services Coordinator, Maria Thimoteo is a dedicated member of the INCOSE Certifications Team. She ensures the smooth operation of the certification program’s processes and workflows, including supporting applicants from the moment they apply to when they receive certification. She also assists members in maintaining their certification status after it is obtained.

Her primary responsibility is reviewing applications for the CSEP (Certified Systems Engineering Professional) and ESEP (Expert Systems Engineering Professional) designations. This role involves clear communication with both applicants and Certification Application Reviewers (CARs) to guarantee a seamless experience for everyone involved.

Before joining INCOSE, Maria spent the past decade cultivating a strong background in the educational and cultural fields. She honed her skills in operational management, guest services, and relationship building through work with various organizations, institutions, and private companies. She has a master's degree in history and cultural heritage management. Her background also includes experience as a schoolteacher, university researcher, and tour guide, all roles that allowed her to leverage her passion for education and supporting others.

When not working on certifications, Maria enjoys exploring her creative side through digital illustration and writing. She also finds joy in spending time with her dog, Kiki, and researching new topics.
