Mohamed Elshal

Mohamed Elshal is graduate student perusing a Master’s of science degree in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at IUPUI. He received his B.Sc. in Production and Manufacturing Engineering from Alexandria University in Egypt. Research areas he is currently working in are: Product Life-cycle Management (PLM), Systems Engineering, Life sciences, and Operations Management. He got involved with INCOSE more than two years ago, by participating in INCOSE BSME working group that aims at applying MBSE methods to model the ED. He participated in several INCOSE meetings and workshops including GLRC9 and GLRC10, and in progress of initiating an INCOSE student chapter at Indiana University that has more than 15 graduate students involved. Elshal is an active member at The Initiative for Product Lifecycle Innovation (IPLI) Institution at Indiana University, working on several projects in implementation of PLM and model based systems engineering on different PLM open source and commercial platforms such as Teamcenter. Elshal has more than two years of industrial experience working in Manufacturing, Logistics management, healthcare and Plastics industry.
