From other parts of Canada:
Highway 401: This is the main east-west highway in Ontario. Take Highway 401 east from Toronto or west from Quebec City to Ottawa.
Highway 17: This route is more scenic, passing through the Canadian Shield. Take Highway 17 east from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, or west from Quebec City. From Pembroke, Ontario, connect to Highway 401 east to Ottawa.
From the United States:
Interstate 87 (I-87): This is the most direct route from the northeastern US. Take I-87 north from New York City or Albany, NY, and cross the border at Cornwall, Ontario. From there, follow Highway 401 east to Ottawa.
Interstate 90 (I-90): This route is longer but can be more scenic, especially if you take the Thousand Islands Parkway. Take I-90 north from Buffalo, NY, to Kingston, Ontario. From Kingston, take Highway 401 east to Ottawa.
